DVDShrink is a free universal tool that can work with Nero or any other disc authoring and burning software and help you make back-up copies of your DVDs. The program has very intuitive user interface and the end user can easily select the contents of the copied disc, and either make an exact copy or only copy selected parts from the source.

DVDShrink has built-in decryption algorithms, which means that it can make copies from protected DVDs, and write them on your hard drive. Then, you can use burning software that you have used to work with and transfer newly created video files to new recordable DVDs. DVDShrink lets the user choose the level of compression, and the end result is usually smaller than 4.38 gigabytes. The program can also create ISO images or VIDEO_TS folders from the ripped DVDs.

Main interface of is very simple to use and that enables anyone to easily select either to copy or shrink just video files that you want to preserve. Video preview window is available for easier overview of the disc content. While shrinking full discs, users can easily select to remove various sections of the film (such as protection), split video files into 1GB chunks and take only selected audio/video streams (perfect for films that have multiple languages that you have no use off). Entire DVDShrink is free, with no limitations or timed restrictions that would prevent you to use it on daily basis.
