Kontakt Player 6.2.1

Kontakt Player is a free program that runs all of KONTAKT instruments, as well as a large number of instruments from other companies. Both Kontakt Player and KONTAKT app can be used as a stand-alone instrument or as a plug-in (VST/AU/AAX) in your favorite host sequencer/DAW.

KONTAKT is the driving force behind a wide range of sampled instruments. From the exquisite detail of the SYMPHONY SERIES and ultra-realistic playability of SESSION GUITARIST – ELECTRIC SUNBURST, to the revolutionary sound design of THRILL, KONTAKT instruments are heard on countless radio stations, stages, soundtracks, and dancefloors.



Only third-party instruments that have been made specifically for the app can be loaded. Instruments that are not made for Kontakt Player require the full version of KONTAKT to run but can be used for 15 minutes at a time in demo mode and without the ability to save your work.

KONTAKT is also a host for hundreds of highly realistic and detailed sampled instruments from other manufacturers. This diverse ecosystem means that KONTAKT is your access point to the industry’s biggest collection of playable sampled sounds.
