SetFSB is an overclocking CPU program designed for advanced users only. If you don’t know what you’re doing, then you could end up permanently damaging your computer.
Higher Speed Allows for Better Performance
The application lets you manage the Front Side Bus of your computer. The Front Side Bus is what links the CPU of your computer to its primary memory. Megahertz is the measurement of speed for it, which can range anywhere between 60 and 400. The more speed there is, the better it will perform.

In the old days, the speed of the Front Side Bus was set by the BIOS. Sometimes the motherboard had jumpers positioned on it which changed the speed too. Nowadays, third-party software exists which can change the speed of the Front Side Bus with very little effort. When you increase the speed of the Front Side Bus, this is known as overclocking. This is the main function of the SetFSB application.
You need to have advanced knowledge of computer hardware to use this application successfully. The program depends on your computer skills so that you don't overclock too much and damage the computer. But if you overclock properly, you could make the performance of the computer so much better.
Navigate the CPU Details Fast
Choose the clock generator which corresponds to your computer’s motherboard. Select the “Get FSB” button. After you do that, the program shows you the frequency of your PCI device, AGP device, DDDR device, and FSB device. The dedicated sliders let you adjust these values to what you want them to be.
Consistently Monitor the System Parameters
The system parameters must be monitored consistently and carefully, including the processor frequency and temperature. Also, a diagnosis can be conducted that includes a forced alteration of the SMBus register and PLL register.
