VMware® Server is a free tool, which enables the end user to create virtual machines. This is extremely convenient if you want to run one or more operating systems on a single computer at the same time.  Some of its main features are:

• Portable – virtual machines can be moved to a second computer without losing their configurations
• Support for legacy virtual machines
• Supports virtual hardware devices like CD-ROMs, DVD-ROMs, floppy drives, parallel ports, etc.
