Effective February 9, 2021, BIM 360 Design™ software has been renamed and upgraded to BIM Collaborate Pro™. The software now offers new modules, including Model Coordination and Insights, and access to the new Autodesk Construction Cloud platform at no additional cost.
Continued support for BIM 360 Design
If you are a current BIM 360 Design subscriber, you automatically receive access to the app. The offering name change does not affect your ongoing work on BIM 360 projects. You may continue collaborating on both the BIM 360 and the unified Autodesk Construction Cloud platforms for new projects.
User interface
The user interface of Autodesk BIM Collaborate Pro is clean and intuitive, giving teams a clear overview of projects, timelines, and recent activity. With simple navigation panels and consistent icons, users can easily access modules like Design Collaboration, Model Coordination, and Document Management.
It brings multiple disciplines into one workspace with tools for model viewing, version comparison, and issue tracking. This makes collaboration, clash detection, and design review straightforward, combining powerful features with an easy-to-use layout.
How to use
To use Autodesk BIM Collaborate Pro, start by signing in to the web platform and opening your project from the main dashboard. From there, you can view active projects, recent updates, and quickly navigate to collaboration or coordination tools.
In the Design Collaboration module, you can organize and share design packages with your team, track updates, and review changes between versions. The Model Coordination tool lets you upload models, run clash detection, and resolve issues directly within the interface.
Finally, use the Document Management space to store, organize, and control access to project files. With built-in versioning, issue tracking, and approval workflows, teams can keep documents consistent and aligned throughout the project lifecycle.
