Seagate DiscWizard is a comprehensive utility for managing all aspects of hard disk partitions, transferring and backing user data, and even performing more advanced functions such as migrating operating system and user data from one hard drive to a brand-new PC. Built from the ground up to be capable of handling every possible situation that may arise when handling hard drives, this application has managed over time to grow into an incredibly capable hard disk utility that can serve the needs of home users, PC enthusiasts, and even seasoned technicians.

This application is distributed online as a fully automated installer that allows users to easily deploy it on any modern PC by simply following few on-screen instructions. However, due to the large number of features and services available, Seagate DiscWizard’s installation archive weighs in at the considerable size of a bit over half a gigabyte! This means that users with limited free storage space or slower internet speed will have to take this large app’s install size into consideration. Once installed the app presents to the user a modern dashboard that is immediately promoting its fast, reliable, and secure Backup tool.

The main UI is separated into four main tabs that are located on the far-left corner of the app – “Backup” where users can backup partitions and entire hard drives, “Sync” where partitions and drives can be mirrored to another drive, and “Tools” section that hosts access to hard drive management tools such as Clone Disk, Add New Disk, Rescue Media Builder, Universal Restore and more. The current information about local drives can be found by pressing the “Disk Properties” button in the app’s header. There, users can find all the relevant hard drive properties such as partition listing, connection type, device type, size, and more.

And in the case that user’s primary hard drive is so damaged that it cannot boot into OS, Seagate DiscWizard offers an option of making a bootable CD/DVD/Flash drive, that will host a bootable version of the Rescue Media Builder application that have many options as the full version of Seagate DiscWizard.
