What does PS4 Firmware 12.52 include?
Version 12.52 focuses on security enhancements to ensure a safer gaming environment.
Can I revert to an older firmware version?
No. Sony does not allow downgrading system software for security and performance reasons.
Why won’t my update file be recognized from USB?
Ensure folders are named correctly (PS4 > UPDATE) and that the file is named PS4UPDATE.PUP, in uppercase.
What happens if the update fails repeatedly?
Try deleting the notification, restart the console, and attempt a reinstall via USB in Safe Mode.
