ChatGPT is a conversational language model developed by OpenAI. It is based on the GPT (Generative Pre-trained Transformer) architecture and is fine-tuned for chat-based applications.

A first look at the Codex app

It uses a massive amount of conversational data to learn to generate human-like responses to a wide variety of questions and prompts. ChatGPT is an amazing AI Virtual Assistant for FREE!

It can be used for a variety of tasks such as customer service chatbots, virtual AI assistants, and language translation. It also can generate text with high quality and coherence and use it as a language generation model.

Is ChatGPT not working? or is there a problem with the server? No problem, at any moment you can use the OpenAI Playground AI which is mostly free with possible limits. Enjoy!

How to Use

There are several ways to use this platform for Windows PC, depending on your specific use case and technical expertise. Here are a few general steps to get started:
  • Obtain an API key from OpenAI. This is required to access the model through the OpenAI API, which allows you to send prompts to the model and receive generated text in response.
  • Choose a programming language and framework to use for making API calls. You can use various languages like Python, Node.js, or Java.
  • Write code to send prompts to the API and receive the generated text. You can use the official OpenAI API client library for your chosen language, or send HTTP requests manually.
  • Use the generated text in your application. Some possibilities include displaying the text in a chat interface, using it as input to other processes, or training the model further on your own data.
It is worth noting that using pre-trained models like Chat GPT requires quite a bit of computational power, expertise, and computational resources in your machine. As a result, it might be better to use it via OpenAI API rather than trying to run it on a personal machine.

What are the ChatGPT Limitations?

  • Lack of commonsense reasoning: GPT models struggle with tasks that require understanding the underlying meaning or context of text.
  • Limited ability to handle rare or out-of-vocabulary words: GPT models are pre-trained on a large corpus of text and may not have seen some words during their training. This can lead to errors or inaccuracies when generating text for those words.
  • Limited ability to handle multiple languages: GPT models are trained in a specific language and may not perform well when generating text in other languages.
  • Limited ability to handle negative language and sarcasm: GPT models may not be able to understand nuances in text such as sarcasm or irony, which can lead to errors in generating text.
  • Limited ability to handle some structured data: GPT is designed to work with unstructured text, it may not work well with structured data, such as spreadsheets or tables.
  • Bias in the pre-training data: GPT models are trained on a large corpus of text, which can contain biases. These biases can be transferred to the generated text, which can lead to inaccuracies and harmful stereotypes.

Is ChatGPT Free?

It is Free (for now). Access to the chatbot, like other GPT models, is provided through the OpenAI API, which is a paid service. OpenAI offers a free tier of usage, which allows for a limited number of API calls per month and a limited set of features. For heavier usage or access to additional features, you will need to sign up for a paid plan.

It's worth noting that if you want to use the pre-trained model like Chat GPT for your own task, in addition to the cost for the API, you will need access to computational resources and a certain level of expertise in language processing and machine learning to fine-tune the model and use it effectively.
