In order to take full advantage of modern upscaling and detail restoration techniques, this app requires users to upload images online so that they could be processed as fast as possible. This enables even users with legacy PC components to take full advantage of the latest image processing capabilities, without even needing to put a strain on their local CPU and GPU hardware.

This app is especially useful for extracting data from low-resolution or blurry images. It applies many AI techniques for detecting on-screen objects, faces, backgrounds, natural elements, and animals, and can enhance them individually. Once HitPaw Photo Enhancer is installed, users can easily access its main dashboard which immediately promotes image uploading. After an image is uploaded, users can pick which type of photo enhancement will be used via the AI model selector located on the far-right side of the dashboard.

There are several categories of enhancing tools available – General Model, Denoise Model, Face Model, and Color model. For each of them, the app showcases a preview of the available AI models (original or HitPaw). Enhanced images can be downloaded and saved on local storage using the Export button. The app also supports batch processing, enabling users with large libraries of photos to enhance them all at once.

HitPaw Photo Enhancer can be tested for free during the TRIAL period, after which users are required to purchase a premium license. This can either be done via monthly or yearly subscription or via the purchase of a lifetime license. All license tiers are intended for use only on 1 PC. The app is optimized for all modern 64-bit versions of Windows OS (7, 8, 8.1, 10, and Windows 11), and a standalone app is also available for macOS (requires a separate license).
