Marvel Rivals for Windows PC brings together heroes and villains from the Avengers, X-Men, Guardians of the Galaxy, and other corners of the Marvel Multiverse.

Matches feature two teams of six players competing across objective-based modes. Each character belongs to one of three roles: Vanguard, Duelist, or Strategist.

What’s New in Season 9

Season 9, titled The Mystery of Thebes, launched on July 10, 2026.

It introduces Jubilee as a playable hero, a new seasonal storyline, additional lore, new store bundles, ranked rewards, events, and a Battle Pass containing ten new costumes.

The Team-Up system received a major redesign with new abilities, character interactions, voice lines, and dynamic combinations.

Black Widow also received a substantial gameplay rework.

Another major addition is Regenerative Shields. These shields begin restoring after the player avoids damage for five seconds and can fully regenerate during the following five seconds. Ultimate-energy generation was also reduced across all three character roles.

Season 9 includes the Resurrection of the Horsemen mission event and the Death of Apocalypse detective mini-game.

Players can earn Units, Chrono Tokens, sprays, nameplates, Gallery Cards, and other rewards. Reaching Gold rank or higher unlocks the Jubilee Crimson Crown costume.
