PassFab for ZIP

PassFab for ZIP is a fully-featured password recovery tool that can allow all users of Windows PCs to retrieve passwords for encrypted ZIP, 7ZIP, and PKZIP archives. It manages to achieve this task by having support for all the latest decryption algorithms and three types of efficient attack types for the manual discovery of the password phrase. Successfully used by more than 3 million users from all around the world, this application represents one of the most streamlined, reliable, and fast ways of recovering passwords from encrypted ZIP archives.



Distributed online as a small sub-20MB installation archive, PassFab for ZIP can easily be deployed on almost any modern desktop and laptop PC with at least 1GHz single-core CPU, 512MB of RAM, and 200 MB of free storage space. Because of the extensive work that the CPU has to perform during the password recovery process, it is highly recommended to provide the application access to the multi-core processor and at least 1 GB of RAM. For the best password recovery times, the computer’s GPU can be used for accelerated password decryption that can be up to 40 times faster than what the only CPU can manage. Both Nvidia and AMD graphic cards are supported. The app can successfully work with ZIP/WinZIP/7ZIP/PKZip/PicoZIP archives, but it has to be noted that it cannot manage encrypted 7Z archives.

Like all other applications produced by PassFab, this ZIP password recovery tool features an incredibly simple to use and streamlined interface that promotes instant use of all of its tools. The main dashboard has a file picker on top and just below is the selector for three possible attack type algorithms -  “Dictionary Attack” that will stick to the most common phrases used in passwords with an option for making a customized dictionary, “Brute Force with Mask Attack” where users can provide hints about parts of the password, and the most extensive “Brute Force Attack” where the app will try every possible combination of characters, symbols, and numbers. All that users have to do is pick one of these three options and click on a “Start” button and wait until the password is discovered. Pausing and Resuming is possible at any time during the process.

PassFab for ZIP can be tested for FREE only during an initial demo period, and all of its functionality is unlocked after purchase. The app is optimized for Windows 7, 8, and 10.
