Robo 3T (formerly Robomongo) is the free lightweight GUI for MongoDB enthusiasts. The tool has been acquired by 3T Software Labs, the creators of the MongoDB client Studio 3T (formerly MongoChef).

Robo 3T is available for you. Distributed as a native application, a fast and snappy app uses very little of your machine resources.

Embeds a real MongoDB shell
It doesn't emulate the MongoDB shell; it embeds the same engine and environment that is a part of the mongo shell. Currently, it embeds the latest MongoDB 3.2 shell.

Provides real autocompletion
Robomongo not only analyzes the semantics of the code but also executes it in an internal JavaScript VM, allowing us to give you a runtime autocompletion that is impossible to obtain statically.

Fully asynchronous, non-blocking UI
All operations that you perform on MongoDB are done asynchronously and do not block the main application thread. This makes Robo3T feel light and snappy.

How to Use

• Launch the Application: Open Robo 3T after installation to access the main interface.
• Create a Connection: Click on "Create" to add a new MongoDB connection and configure the connection settings.
• Connect to MongoDB: Select the configured connection and click "Connect" to establish a connection with the database.
• Explore Databases: Navigate the left panel to view existing databases and collections.
• Run Queries: Open a new shell tab and write MongoDB queries using JavaScript syntax.
• Insert Data: Use db.collection.insertOne({}) or db.collection.insertMany([]) to add documents.
• Retrieve Data: Use db.collection.find({}) to query and display documents.
• Modify Data: Use db.collection.updateOne({},{}) or db.collection.updateMany({},{}) to update documents.
• Delete Data: Use db.collection.deleteOne({}) or db.collection.deleteMany({}) to remove documents.
