What's new in this version:
Syncovery 11.8.3 (32-bit)
- Fixes a potential problem when copying from one cloud to another in multithreaded mode (simultaneous downloading and uploading without temporary file on disk)
Syncovery 11.8.2 (32-bit)
- Fixes a bug with the scheduler stopping unexpectedly
Syncovery 11.8.1 (32-bit)
- Additional accessibility features
- Fixes the “Replace Paths in Profiles” which didn’t work in v11.8.0 due to a GUI issue
Syncovery 11.8.0 (32-bit)
- Reengineered Daily Summaries: Syncovery now keeps all profile run results in a database, and the Daily Summary now contains the accumulated statistics from all profiles runs of the past 24 hours, with a fresh design that uses improved HTML techniques.
- New SMB button in the Windows desktop GUI, which allows you to specify network credentials easily, rather than having to go to Job->Network Connections in the profile.
- The PGP encryption settings now have a new option that allows you to decide if the encrypted files should be in a text format with ASCII armoring.
- The first batch of accessibility improvements is complete: the toolbar buttons can now be accessed and navigated via keyboard, and many dialog controls will be recognized and announced correctly by a screenreader.
- Syncovery can now read EXIF data and sort photos and videos into folders based on the actual date and time when they were taken. The sorting is done via PascalScript, please write to support if interested.
- There’s a new option to look for moved files, but keep them in place on both source and destination. This means the moved file detection is mainly used to avoid re-copying the files, rather than making their subfolder paths match on both sides.
- The Xworks cloud is now supported again.
- Now works with Sharepoint sites that have a slash or backslash in their site name.
- In the default GUI mode “Run Profiles in Main Window”, the top right X could not be used to close Syncovery or cancel a job while it’s running. You can now click the X in the top right corner of the main dialog window even if it shows the Sync Preview, as well as in other stages of a profile run, and you will be asked if you want to cancel the job.
- The dialog showing overdue profiles now has a button to disable the overdue checking feature for selected profiles.
- Shows the service scheduler’s time zone and prompts the user what to do if the service runs in a different timezone. It also has a new option on the “Tools and settings” button menu on the Scheduler tab sheet: “Ensure Scheduler Service Timezone Matches GUI”. This option will ensure that UTC offset changes, such as summer/winter, are also communicated to the service.
- S3 downloads from a SpectraLogic BlackPearl appliance now also work for split files.
- There have been bug fixes concerning two-way copying of NTFS permissions.
- Irrelevant sslshutdown errors are no longer logged.
- In the File Integrity Verification, HEIC files can now be recognized correctly (their internal structure is like mp4) and will no longer be flagged as having an incorrect filename extension.
- If profile features like the remote listing or remote hash generation are chosen, but the target is a known cloud where the Syncovery Remote Service can’t be installed, then these settings will automatically be disabled when the job runs.
Syncovery 11.7.6 (32-bit)
- S3 downloads from a SpectraLogic BlackPearl appliance now work and will wait appropriately when the files are on tape and need to be retrieved
- Avoids unnecessary folder attribute actions by ignoring the Reparse Point attribute when comparing
- Fixes upload errors with Glacier vaults where deletions are forbidden (when replacing a file and the older version cannot be deleted)
- Non-standard config file locations will now work better with the service scheduler than before
- More reliable two-way sync of permissions in real-time
- Files with certain disallowed characters will no longer be re-tried (losing time) when uploading to OneDrive or Sharepoint
Syncovery 11.7.5 (32-bit)
- Fixes an error opening the Monitoring Tool if no list of configuered servers existed yet
Syncovery 11.7.4 (32-bit)
- Improved support for the rarely used Graph app permission Sites.Selected

- Fixes creating Amazon S3 buckets in regions other than the default

- The new status.json endpoint will now include the schedule status for all monitored machines, if the option “Run monitoring logic with scheduler” is chosen on the Monitoring Tool, last tab sheet
Syncovery 11.6.6 (32-bit)
- Via the Tools submenu in the Sync Preview, you can now choose to show encoded and encrypted filenames in addition to the clear text ones. This also works in the Static HTML Preview but is not available in the Dynamic Preview.

- Fixes bugs in the SecGate connector

- Adds a “Tools” submenu to the menu in the Sync Preview, allowing you to view the preview in a web browser (as HTML). This also allows you to save the file list as a single HTML page (when viewing the static web preview).
- Allows starting and canceling a profile from the web preview even if it was originally started in the desktop GUI
- When filtering by “Last Access” timestamp, Syncovery will only use it if it’s equal or newer to the last modification timestamp. Otherwise, it will filter by last modification
- Increases the max. folder masks edit field length from 1000 to 25000
- Improved error message if trying to delete files from a Google Team Drive with insufficient permissions

- The Test Backup Integrity feature has a new option: “Scan for truncated archive files”
- Fixes response time for “Show detailed progress or results in browser”
- Fixes copying to the root of an Azure BLOB storage container with filename encryption
- Additional fixes

- Fixes a new bug in version 11.5.0 causing MD5 hashes from S3 not being recognized and files being flagged as different
Syncovery 11.5.0 (32-bit)
- The Remote Service will now use the separate communication folder for hash files too, if specified. Previously it was only for the remote listing.
- The Remote Service can now generate SHA256 hashes (choose them on the Verification tab sheet in the Syncovery profile)

- Additional minor improvements

- function OnProfileStart:Boolean
- begi
- SetProfileProperty('DeleteNonMatchingFilters','Yes')
- SetProfileProperty('DeleteNonMatchingFiltersBothSides','Yes')

- The Setup program is now also aware that SyncoveryCL.exe is the new scheduler service and doesn’t replace it with SyncoveryService.exe any more
- Fixes the scheduler service not starting up after rebooting Windows on very old CPUs (likely this problem occurred only if newer Windows Server versions were running only pre-2013 CPUs that didn’t completely fulfill the system requirements)
- When the daily run time for a profile was changed, Syncovery might sometimes have reported the next run as being tomorrow rather than today. This was fixed.
- Fixes an issue where the Next Run might not be updated in the Profile Overview after a profile run unless you closed the GUI or switched to the Scheduler tab sheet and back
Syncovery 11.3.3 (32-bit)
- Contains numerous improvements and fixes to the cloud to cloud copying mode without temporary files. Most importantly, it now handles files correctly when the size is different from what was reported in the folder listing. SyncoveryCL.exe will start up quicker and is more compliant and compatible with Windows Server 2025, as it does not use any hidden window handles and contains zero GUI related code – in contrast to SyncoveryService.exe, which doubles as a Background Scheduler with some basic GUI features (such as the tray icon and a status window).
- FTP libraries 2-4 now all use TLS Session Resumption for the data port, ensuring compatibility with the latest FTP server security requirements
- You can now make a profile abort if there is more than a certain number of Bytes to copy, by adding this PascalScript to the profile (the example enforces the limit of 5GB): function OnProfileStart:Boolean; begin Result:=true; UnattendedCopyMaxBytes:=5368709120; end;
