3DMark was first developed more than 10 years ago and each successive version was deploying better and better engine, until 3DMark became the ultimate benchmarking tool used to test not only the computer’s 3d graphic rendering capabilities, but the performance of the entire computer system.

The day 3DMark03 was released it was downloaded by hundreds of thousands of computer users and gamers all over the World. 3DMark03 was also the first version to work with Microsoft DirectX 9.0 and came with a few new features, some of which are:

• Four graphics tests
• Two CPU tests - low resolution versions of GT1 and GT3, using software vertex shaders to provide the CPU load
• Four Feature tests
• Sound tests - a sequence of graphics tests that use 0, 24 and 60 sound sources.
