TeraCopy is a file transfer program that is specifically designed to monitor transfer of large number of files over the network in fast and reliable way. Sometimes while copying or moving large number of files speed of their transfer can deteriorate, entire system can become sluggish and unresponsive, and in some extreme cases even produces errors in copied files. Solution for all of those problems is TeraCopy, a fully streamlined application that can be used by both novices and professionals which maintains fast speeds, isolates questionable files that were not copied correctly and moves them on the end of the transfer queue.
Interface of TeraCopyis very simple, offering easy oversight of entire backup process, verification of CRC hashes, and customization options that will be greatly appreciated by professional users who want full control over their file transfers. App can announce success when file transfer is complete, check for free space before starting transfer, test each file after successful copy and preform many more advanced tasks that are not part of the basic transfer protocol that used by Windows Explorer and almost all other file management apps.
In addition to this features TeraCopy also provides detailed information about the files that were transferred, and can be easily embedded into Windows as a default copy handler. Free version of the app is available only for non-commercial use, but free version has zero functional limitations. It is packed with many useful, time-saving features, with most popular being:
Copy files faster
TeraCopy uses dynamically adjusted buffers to reduce the seek times. Asynchronous copying speeds up the file transfer between two physical hard drives.
Pause and resume file transfer activities
Pause the copy process at any time in order to free up system resources and continue with a single click.
In case of a copy error, TeraCopy will try several times to recover and, in the worse case scenario, will simply skip the file, not terminating the entire transfer.
Interactive file list
TeraCopy shows the failed file transfers and lets you fix the problem and recopy only the problem files.
TeraCopy can completely replace the Explorer copy and move functions, in turn enabling you to work with files as usual.
Full Unicode support.
Windows 7 and Windows 8 x64 support.
