PDF Editor

PDF Editor is a standalone productivity and document management application that enables PC users of all knowledge levels to easily edit their PDF files. Built on top of the powerful PDF rendering architecture that can handle documents of all sizes (from few kilobytes to several gigabytes), this applications prides itself on providing simple and reliable tools for extracting text, changing text, adding new text, and altering images with as fewest steps as possible.

The source program that has created a PDF file is irrelevant here because PDF Editor for PC can easily manipulate them all. The app was made by CAD-KAS GbR and is still getting regular updates and new functionalities.

While many other similar applications pride themselves in being editors of PDF files, they can actually only handle one or just a few features that are easily accessible in this PDF Editor. These features include the ability to easily take control over the entire PDF document, search it, copy text, add text, add annotations, forms, pictures, graphics, and stamps. The app also has built-in support for drawing simple vectorized graphics (with a line width selector and full RGB color picker), enabling anyone to quickly change PDF documents that are loaded inside the app. Simply put, PDF Editor enables both novices and professionals to get every text and image management tool needed for modifying documents without the need for any other editor.

The user interface of PDF Editor is full of tools, but at least they are all separated into their own areas. This includes Main Menu on top with its array of drop-down menus, main editing tools immediately down (Annotations, Forms, Text, Pictures, Graphics, and Stamps), and icon row of general functionality features that link to main menu dropdown tools (Undo, Redo, Zoom, page selector and many others). The main document viewing area is accompanied by the tabbed interface that allows easy navigation to other aspects of the PDF manipulation – Open PDF File, Edit, Pages, Bookmarks, Information, Search and Save PDF File.

The latest version v5.5 that was offered in early 2020 introduces new security features, the ability to decrypt proceed files, new form fields functions, and many new tools for managing text editing.
