PES 2019 Pro Evolution Soccer (also known as PES 2019) is a football video game developed and published by Konami for PC in August of 2018.

Enhancing the simulation systems present in its predecessors and greatly expanding the list of present teams and leagues, this 18th installment in the PES series quickly managed to find success and provide an endless amount of fun to millions of sports fans.

Some of the core additions to the game are introductions of several popular Scottish clubs (Celtic and Rangers among them), and their accompanying stadiums that enable fans to recreate the atmosphere present during the traditional Old Firm derbies.

In addition to the spotless audio/visual presentation, 4K HDR support, enhanced time of day and environment lighting, realistic commentary, advanced animation systems, and streamlined gameplay systems that allow for fun and tactical real-time play, Pro Evolution Football game for PC also features expanded options for managing your favorite clubs.

Advances in this mode include improved negotiation systems, better budget management, deeper strategy options, detailed player statistics (with 11 new skill traits), improved player individuality, and enhanced options for handling full-body touch moments during play.

While the game has built-in support for 12 big sporting leagues (the Scottish Premiership, the Dutch Eredivisie, the Argentine Primera División, Ligue 1 and Ligue 2, Danish Superligaen, the Portuguese Primeira Liga, Swiss Raiffeisen Super League, and the Belgian Jupiler Pro League), the game has managed to lose some of the largest international leagues that are performed under the UEFA banner.

This means that for the first time in 10 years, the PES franchise lost the support for the Champions League, Europa League, and the UEFA Super Cup. The famous club partnerships with teams such as Liverpool, Barcelona, Inter Milan, A.C. Milan, and Arsenal were retained, and new ones were added, such as Borussia Dortmund, AS Monaco, FC Schalke 04, Celtic, Rangers, and many other partners and licensed teams.

FAQs

Is PES 2019 still worth playing in 2026?
Yes, PES 2019 remains popular among fans who prefer realistic gameplay and fluid ball physics over newer titles. Many players still play it thanks to community patches that update teams, kits, and transfers to current seasons, effectively keeping the game fresh even years after its release. However, it no longer receives official updates or live services from Konami.

Can I update teams and transfers in PES 2019?
Yes, although official updates have stopped, the community actively maintains option files and patches that update squads, leagues, kits, and competitions. These patches are widely used and can transform PES 2019 into a near-modern football experience, but they require manual installation and are not officially supported by Konami.

What are the main differences between PES 2019 and newer eFootball games?
PES 2019 offers a more traditional offline-focused experience with modes like Master League and Become a Legend, while newer eFootball titles focus heavily on online play and a free-to-play model. Many players prefer PES 2019 for its gameplay feel, lack of aggressive monetization, and fully featured offline modes, even though it lacks updated licenses and modern graphics improvements.
