What's new in this version:

Topaz AI Gigapixel 4.9.3
Major features:
- Resizing with physical dimensions (inches, centimeters, and PPI) has been reworked to be more intuitive and easy to use.

- When changing width or height based on inches or centimeters, the image pixel size now correctly changes.
- Physical dimensions now update correctly when resizing the image based on scale.
- PPI text has been changed to “Pixels Per Inch” or “Pixels Per Centimeter” based on which unit is selected.
- Pixels per unit metadata now correctly gets written out, so opening the image in other programs will now correctly read what the physical dimensions are.
- Changing the pixels per unit no longer changes the physical width/height.
- Menus on Windows have been changed to a lighter color so they don’t blend into the background.

- When multiple images are open and only one is selected, the “Selected” text in the right panel no longer overflows.
- The right panel no longer overflows when using custom application scaling modes on Windows.
- Buttons now correctly highlight and grey out in the Product Tour.

Topaz AI Gigapixel 4.9.2
Major features:
- The control settings for Remove Blur, Suppress Noise, and auto-detection has been revamped to provide for better user experience as well as bring it more in-line with the workflow found in Denoise AI.
- Individual controls for Remove Blur and Suppress Noise can now be adjusted through a text field.
- A reset button has been added to automatically set Remove Blur and Suppress Noise to their default values (50 and 50, respectively)

- Gigapixel now remembers your last saved output image format type. The default is now “Preserve source format”, and a tooltip has been added that explains what it does.
- Remove Blur and Suppress Noise can now be set to 0 (previously, the minimum was 1)
- The right panel is now hidden when no images are open.

- Auto mode now correctly calculates an image’s optimal settings when batch processing. Previously, Gigapixel was using the first image’s auto-detected settings in the batch for all subsequent images.
- After processing one image, the navigator panel now correctly refreshes instead of remaining empty.
- When adding more images into a batch with the preview panel enabled, the currently selected image no longer changes to a new image.
- Some holdover view options have been removed from the View menu on Mac.

Topaz AI Gigapixel 4.9.1
- Preview can now be panned from anywhere in the navigator panel.

- The preview panel no longer shows the last opened image when opening another image after saving.
- The “Close Image(s)” dialog no longer pops up when images are closed after processing.
- Escape button closes file logging dialog.
- Faces from one image no longer appear on other images when batch processing.
- Enabling/disabling the preview panel now shows the last selected image after batch processing.

Topaz AI Gigapixel 4.9.0
New features:
- The preview panel can now be toggled

- Remove all Images / Close All Images action now triggers a dialog if changes have not been saved for those images.
- The cursor has been changed from a crosshair to a panning hand when panning in the Navigator window.

- A pervasive crash has been fixed regarding face refinement. The program should no longer crash when opening images up when Face Refinement is turned on.

Topaz AI Gigapixel  4.8.2

Topaz AI Gigapixel 4.8.1
New features:
- Drag and drop works again with folders, and now recursively adds images from subdirectories, up to 10 subdirectories deep.

- The escape key now behaves more appropriately and won’t close the application. It will now close open dialogs and cancel processing.
- Comma separator now works for decimals when specifying a custom scale, regardless of locale.

- Preview pane no longer pops up when dragging in an unsupported file
- Removed blank menu item under Account on Windows

- Maximum scale multiplier is now based on max pixel count of 32k (instead of just 6x)

- Color profiles now apply correctly
- Colorspace conversion now correctly applies even if “convert file format” is false
- Different height / width / scale settings now recalculate correctly in batch mode
- Physical (in, cm) height and width now behave correctly when you toggle between them

- Fixed an issue that caused Gigapixel AI to crash if more than 508 images were processed in batch
- Fixed an issue that caused Gigapixel AI to crash if the file name or path contained non-Latin characters
- Fixed an issue that prevented the in-app updater to run
- Fixed an issue that caused Gigapixel AI to ignore the file's orientation metadata

- Updated authentication to better handle firewalls

Topaz AI Gigapixel 4.4.3
- Fixed Error 99 when checking for software updates

Topaz AI Gigapixel 4.4.2
- Fixed metadata issue causing jpeg and tiff to display with wrong PPI
- Fixed issue causing Gigapixel to not launch for some Mac users

Topaz AI Gigapixel 4.4.1
- Refined the advanced preference information

- Fixed the launching failure issue. Now Gigapixel AI can launch correctly on computers with CPUs before Intel 6th generation.
Refined crashes due to Intel Optimization (OpenVino). Now whenever Gigapixel AI crashes due to Intel Optimization, it will remember it and - disable the Intel Optimization setting in advanced preference. Users can enable it manually by clicking the "Reset" button.
- Fixed the "hddlapi.dll" missing issue.

Topaz AI Gigapixel 4.4.0
- Intel devices optimization: Now a new option “Intel optimization” is in advanced preferences. If you choose “Yes”, it will optimize 6th-10th generation Intel CPUs and Intel iGPUs for Gigapixel. Typically, it will make Gigapixel run *3-5 times faster*than the previous “CPU” mode. But we cannot guarantee if it can work for CPUs from other vendors (e.g., AMD) or any Intel CPUs before 5th generation. If you still have very high performance desktop GPUs (e.g., NVIDIA 1080), “Enable dedicated GPU” (Yes) option will be the best choice. However, if you have relatively better Intel CPUs or Intel iGPUs than low performance GPU, you will see faster performance on Intel optimization (Yes) option.
- Automatic detection for the best devices choice: Now you do not have to choose between GPU/CPU or enable/disable Intel optimization manually. Gigapixel will automatically run a benchmark and choose the best advanced preferences settings for you to achieve the highest speed on your computer. The benchmark will only be triggered once when you process the first image. Thus, the first image will take longer time than usual.

- Refined the preview navigation panel changed output file name extension to -gigapixel

- 8/16 Bit crash
