The players are put in the boots of Deacon St. John, an ex-soldier and a veteran drifter who has become a successful bounty hunter in the unforgiving world full of countless zombie threats, hostile humans, and unforgiving nature. Set two years after the start of the global pandemic that has turned the majority of the human population into shambling “freakers” – mindless nocturnal beasts that seek food everywhere around them to survive.

Shortly after the start of the game, players are tasked with their main goal: finding the answers about the early days of the pandemic, and discovering clues about the status and whereabouts of their wife, who seemingly died the night of the initial outbreak.

Days Gone presents the players with an incredible variety of tasks and gameplay options, with the most crucial and impressive one being the primary transportation system. Deacon drives his hardened motorcycle across the entire game world and is tasked with keeping it repaired, filled with fuel, and upgraded. This enables players to quickly move across impressive terrains (forests, hills, camps, and remains of destroyed settlements).



On-foot gameplay supports both flashy actions with a large selection of weapons and offensive/defensive items, and stealth that can help players thin out opposition from the shadows. A wide array of collectible items is used for personal crafting, upgrading of weapons, and unlocking better characteristics for the motorcycle (speed, durability, maneuverability, and more).

All in all, Days Gone features tight gameplay, a long and varied story, a wide array of interesting characters, and stunning visuals. The game is optimized for aging PCs to the latest gaming configurations, where players are able to experience truly next-gen presentation.
