What's new in this version:

New Style setting for watercolor edges:
- Style has been added to Watercolor edge in the Advanced Tool Settings palette for brush tools. When set to Vivid, you can draw clear edges with high contrast.

Improved 3D camera features:

Easier to sort and search materials:

- (iPhone / Android) In the Preferences dialog > Touch gestures > Palette settings, when Two-finger tap is set to Show/hide property/command bar, you can use a two-finger tap on the Tool Settings palette to hide the command bar and stroke preview, then tap with two fingers again to correctly redisplay the command bar and stroke preview. Note that this excludes tablets.
- If you select multiple layers with different layer colors, turn on a layer color from Change layer color in the Layer palette, turn on Preview in the Color settings dialog, and then click Cancel, the layer colors of the selected layers will now revert to their original states.
- Control points will no longer be created outside the curve when Continuous curve is selected from the Smart Shape Launcher while using Smart Shape.
- The Smart Shape Launcher will now appear when you use Smart Shape on a layer mask of a 3D layer.

- Modifier keys will now operate correctly when transforming a watermark image in the Watermark Settings dialog.

- (Windows / macOS) Empty items will no longer appear under Filter when Menu commands is selected under Category of the Shortcut Settings dialog in environments where plug-in filters are installed.
- (Windows / macOS) In multi-monitor setups, the preview in the Export preview dialog when using the File menu > Export (Single Layer) will now match the colors of the actually exported image.

- (Android) On certain tablets, you can now type while keeping the software keyboard open when tapping certain text input fields when the app is placed in the lower half of split-screen mode.

- You can now change the number of mesh points for Mesh Transformation in the Tool Settings or Advanced Tool Settings palette even after moving a mesh point.
- The bounding box that appears when multiple lattice points are selected in Mesh Transformation will now be aligned with the rotation of the mesh.
- Style has been added to the Watercolor edge settings in the Layer Properties palette > Border effect. When set to Vivid, you can draw clear edges with high contrast.
- Reflect opacity has been added to the settings when Edge is selected from the Layer Properties palette > Border effect. When turned on, the inner edge of semi-transparent strokes will no longer be affected by the border effect, and the border edges are smoother.
- Exclude balloon layers has been added as an option in the Tool Settings and Advanced Tool Settings palette for the Select layer tool. You can select text and select speech bubbles separately.
- Exclude balloon layers has been added as an option in the Tool Settings and Advanced Tool Settings palette for tools like the Fill or Eyedropper. You can set text references and speech bubble references separately.
- Edit user tags has been added to the Material palette. You can now perform batch operations such as renaming or deleting tags for multiple materials using the Edit user tags dialog.
- (Windows / macOS / iPad / Android) A button to show the Advanced Tool Settings palette has been added to the transformation launcher that appears when running commands under the Edit menu > Transform. (This does not apply to smartphone devices.)
- When selecting vectors with the Object tool, clicking away from the line will no longer select it.

- It is less likely for symmetrical lines not to link when moving vectors snapped to a symmetry ruler using the Object tool.

- When you click the Exclude layers buttons in the Edit menu > Advanced Fill, the on/off state is now reflected immediately.

- In the Tool Property or Advanced Tool Settings palette for the Object tool, when Operation of transparent part > Select area by dragging is set to Control point, dragging over parallel line rulers, radial line rulers, concentric circle rulers, symmetry rulers, and guides will no longer select them.
- Focus lines will now be drawn beyond the frame or canvas even if the center point is extremely close to the reference line when drawing with tools in the Focus lines group that have Extend lines in the Advanced Tool Settings palette turned on.

- You can now select the Light table tool and Timeline edit tool icons when changing tool icons from the Tool Properties dialog.
- When Sync perspective view and canvas is enabled in the All sides view palette, you can now perform some camera operations such as changing camera perspective on the perspective view of the All sides view palette.
- Changing the perspective using the mouse cursor on the perspective view of the All sides view palette will now work correctly when the projection method of a 3D layer is set to Parallel Projection and Sync perspective view and canvas is enabled in the All sides view palette.
- If you export an unsaved file to PDF from the File menu > Export multiple pages > .pdf (PDF format), close it without saving, reopen it, edit it, and then export it to PDF again without saving, the latest edits will now be reflected. Note that if you want to apply edits to a file exported to PDF before updating to Ver. 5.1, you must perform a reset in Ver. 5.1 or later to initialize the Output cache.
- The selection area will now be displayed when an empty line is selected in the Story Editor.
- When running the File menu > Import > Batch import on a multi-page project where Cover page layout is set to Spread, images will now be imported to the pages specified in the Batch import dialog.
- When running the File menu > Import > Batch import on a multi-page project with a cover page and importing more files than the number of pages, blank pages will no longer be created before the additional pages.
- When you use Export (Single Layer) after Export layer comp, the Export settings dialog > Preview rendering result on output setting will return to the state before running Export layer comp.
- When moving text on the same page with the Story editor, you can now move locked or hidden text layers.
