Sometimes latest versions of the software can cause issues when installed on older devices or devices running an older version of the operating system. Software makers usually fix these issues but it can take them some time. What you can do in the meantime is to download and install an older version of Pianoteq 8.1.3.

What's new in this version:

- Fixed bug where pitch-bend messages on a MIDI channel would change the pitch of notes on other MIDI channel on some configurations
- Max pitch-bend range increased to +-4800 cents for easier use with MPE controllers
- Workaround for crash when quiting Dorico
- Add a reset menu entry in the mini-preset menus (mics, reverb, etc)
- Metronome now supports 8/4 and 8/8 time signatures, and starts from first beat when it is toggled again
- The preset menu is expected to work better on touch screens and on recent Linux distributions
- The Q factor of the EQ3 effect can be changed with a 2-fingers gesture on touch screens
- Fixed midimappings loading on iOS (std/pro version)
- Sharing of Logic projects between iOS and macOS should work slightly better (only for Pianoteq STD/PRO, unfortunately. Automation curves should be avoided as they will be assigned to wrong parameters)
- Note for Windows users: for a few days, users that will download the update may experience a scary warning from Microsoft Defender SmartScreen. If that happens, click on its More info link, and then on the Run anyway button.
