This big expansion package introduces three brand new campaigns to the base game, expands multiplayer offerings, and boosts presentation values by re-introducing live-action cutscenes that were popularized in the previous entries of this franchise.

Main Features

C&C: Generals Zero Hour continues the main story told in the base game, where three original factions (United States, China, and the Global Liberation Army GLA) are fighting for global supremacy. The players are tasked to maintain, build, and defend their mobile military bases, gather resources, and command units until the mission parameters are met or until all opponents on the map are defeated. This update also expands the available number of structures and units in base factions, enabling players to use brand-new offensive and defensive tactics on the battlefield.

In addition to the three new campaigns (each having five new missions), this expansion also enables all players to experience a new mode of play - Generals’ Challenge. This mode pits the player against a list of AI opponents, all featuring larger access to in-game technology and unit structure, with the final “boss” AI being able to use all structures and units that are available in the game. Generals’ Challenge greatly expands the available single-player content in the game, providing seasoned players with one of the most challenging experiences they can experience in the entire C&C franchise.

Multiplayer offerings of C&C: Generals are also expanded with new modes of play. The game is now fully playable in online and LAN network environments, with support for up to 8 active players. The game features no built-in matchmaking, so players must manually search for opponents. Due to its age, PC players today must seek alternative server platforms in order to access online play, such as the community-managed online server “C&C Online”.
