Farming Simulator 17 is a farming simulation video game developed and published by Giants Software in late 2016.

Farming Simulator 22 is now available! Check it out here.

After great success with their previous version of the game (Farming Simulator 15 from 2014), developers of this title decided to dramatically expand the gameplay capabilities, world size, and licensing deals for realistic modern equipment, making this one of the most impressive farming simulation titles ever released.

With Farming Simulator 17, players of all ages can easily immerse themselves into the world of farming, get lost in the large open-world environment, and take direct management control over their farms, ranging from the smallest choices to directly controlling field machines during large harvests.

The gameplay options revolve not only around managing large fields of crops but also feeding, breeding, and selling livestock, growing and cutting trees, manually transport your goods with trailers, trucks and even drive cargo trains!

For the first time in the history of the franchise, certain types of crops have become part of the base game (sunflowers, soybeans, and oilseed radishes), and the entire process of the crop growth and the final yields can be influenced by new systems for deploying fertilizer, de-weeding, and others. In addition to managing their own farms, players also can accept jobs from nearby farmers that will reward them with additional money and side activities.

Day-to-day farm activities are faithfully recreated with the presence of numerous licensed vehicles and tools, including the return of Fendt machines that were last seen in Farming Simulator 2009. After spending time in the Nordic environment in the last game, Farming Simulator 17 offers players to enjoy the large open-world environment created in the style of North American farmlands.

This playable zone can be expanded with the purchase of the official expansion pack that introduces a new map, new crops (sugarcane), and a wide array of vehicles and tools. In addition to this “Platinum” expansion, the gamers can also access three other premium DLC packs.

PC users can also greatly expand the capabilities of this title with the help of custom mods. The custom of using mods in this franchise is one of the reasons why so many people elect to stick with PC versions, and not bother with other platforms where mods are not allowed.

Similarly like in previous titles, Farming Simulator 17 can be played online with 15 additional players, enabling you and your friends to organize large working parties that can maximize yields during the large harvest events and bring incredible prosperity to your farm.
