Illuvium

Illuvium is an ambitious collectible NFT RPG game and auto-battler, striving to offer gamers around the world new ways of interacting with the game by harnessing the power of blockchain technologies to impact the game world itself.



While the game part of this title is traditional enough (a large open-world RPG experience with numerous gameplay opportunities for exploration, combat, mining, harvesting, and monster capture), the developers of Illuvium for Windows PC have decided to empower dedicated gamers with a virtual seat at their table. More precisely, the core of the game's unique offerings comes from ILV, a new cryptocurrency token (ERC20 token on the Ethereum blockchain) associated with the Illuvium ecosystem.

That is right. The owners of ILV tokens will use it for three specific purposes – Vault Distributions for earning additional tokens through in-game purchases and fees, Liquidity Mining for receiving a share of vault distributions, and most uniquely Govbernance – a community collaboration initiative that will provide ILV token holders an ability to get in touch with the development team, submit proposals, and even elect an “Illuvinati Council “ that will oversee the development goals of the game.

As for the game itself, Illuvinati aims to be an attractive RPG auto-battler where players have the ability to form their own teams of heroes, strategically upgrade them to be most effective in their offensive/defensive/support roles, manage a wide variety of unique stats, abilities, and character classes, and find powerful synergies that can open road to victory in even of most difficult in-game combat encounters. The game is presented as a third-person action game where players have direct control over their character as they explore the large open world.

As of the time of this review, Illuvium is still in active development and is marked for public deployment in early 2024. The first release of the game will follow the tried and true Free 2 Play formula in which anyone will have access to the game client, countless intense and strategic gameplay scenarios, and full access to the blockchain-powered economy and other systems.

Illuvium is developed to be fully compatible with all modern versions of Windows OS (including Windows 10 and Windows 11), but it will require a medium-range gaming PC due to its ambitious visuals and detail-rich combat design.
