NBA 2K23 is the latest version of the celebrated NBA 2K basketball videogame franchise released by 2K Games and developed by the Visual Concepts team in late 2022. Offering new and old gamers access to the latest roster of NBA and WNBA teams, this advanced sports simulator manages to satisfy the needs of both casual basketball players and lifelong fans who wish to immerse themselves into full simulation mode for not just their favorite team, but also the entire NBA league.



The cover star of this 2K NBA game release is none other than Devin Booker, a popular shooting guard of the Phoenix Suns. The NBA Hall Of Famer Michael Jordan is promoted on the covers of the premium Michael Jordan and Championship Editions of the game.

Some of the most notable additions to the game come in the form of the upgraded gameplay modes such as MyCAREER where users can follow the exploits of their favorite team, create a brand new NBA team using MyTEAM mode, be a general manager of any available NBA franchises in MyGM mode, and control the entire NBA league in MyLEAGUE.

MyNBA mode can now give players access to iconic historic and modern seasons (983–84, 1991–92, 2002–03, and the current 2022–23 NBA season). Historic league presentation is enhanced with period-specific TV packages and live tv coverage presentation style. All the modern basketball players and teams are upgraded with their latest stats and visual changes (including three teams changing their home location).

For the first time since 2011 the popular Jordan Challenge mode returns, recreating his rise through the NBA ranks to the spot of their biggest and most famous star.

However, there is a dark spot in this long-awaited sports gaming release. The presence of many gameplay and content advances in 2K NBA23 release is somewhat muddied with legacy PC support. Instead of getting access to the true nextgen version of the game that was released on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S home consoles, the 2K Games publisher has decided to deploy the “last-gen” version of the game to PC, matching its content and visual presentation to the PS4/Xbox One tier of this release.
